Here is my papaya halwa recipe,really sweet,sticky and mouth watering one.i searched lots of blog for the recipe of papaya halwa,but disappointed ,all are softy halwa.i want that sticky halwa ,i ate it before .hmmm its my turn..i made it.its easy ,but the stirring work is little hard.its 1/2 hour i stir it in a low flame.my hand told me stop !stop!i cant stop,becoz of that sticky halwa...ha ha no problem,if u work hard ,the result will get superb..thats my mind told me..wow the result is superb!!try it and enjoy!!!
INGREDIENTS:
Ripe
papaya(medium size) – 1
Sugar - 2 cup
Ghee - 4-5 tsp
cashew - 10 nos
cardamom powder- 1/2 tsp
milk - 1 cup
METHOD:
Make cashew into small pieces. Fry the cashews in ghee
and keep aside. Boil the milk for 15-20 minutes in
medium heat until gets
thick. Heat one tbsp ghee in a pan, add the papaya pulps and fry till the smell
vanishes. Cook it in medium heat and stir occasionally for 5 minutes. Now add the milk and boil it until milk evaporates, then add the sugar
and stir continuously in low
heat. Now add the remaining ghee and stir on low heat till the mixture collects
in a soft ball or the ghee oozes out. Now add cashews and cardamom powder.
Mix well
and transfer to the greased plate. Let it rest for half an hour. Cut into
desired shapes and serve.

Oh my...this is so interesting. I've never heard of this before. While I found this under the breakfast challenge, is it more like a dessert or actually served for breakfast? I bet a little goes a long way! Sounds so delicious!!
